My waist measures is a 30 inches, I ordered a medium and I have tummy pouch from pregnancies, this will help maintain a slim waist and discourage over eating. Excellent A+
A couple of caveats, though: Be realistic in your expectations. If you are a size 14, it's not going to make you look like a size 6. But it does take inches off. I measured, and it flattened in my belly a good 2 inches, and my natural waist about one inch. I think the visual effect actually looks like even more. The only other problem (and the problem is with my figure, not with the product) is that if you are chubbier like me, there is some spillage of back fat over the top of the corset, so keep that in mind when choosing what outfit to wear over it--i.e., you don't want to wear a tight shirt that or a dress that shows your back.
I really love this product, though--it is exactly what I was looking for and works ten times better than any other shapewear that I have tried.
(For reference, I am 5'5 , 178 lb, and about a size 12/14.)
I make corsets, and have studied plenty on sizing, tightening, breaking in, and wearing. Trust me I bought the right size, if I went a size up I wouldn't get the desired look and fit I expect. This is a excellent corset, and I would recommend it highly to anyone. Every body is different, some of us need longer laces, but that In no way makes this a bad product, and the Only way to get a perfect fit is have a custom fitting by someone who knows the amount of laceing that will be needed to give you your desired effect. Only thing that made it somewhat small, was the fact that I needed extra length on the laces. It was easily remedied by adding shoe laces to the bunny ear portion, added photo and re-lacing the corset. Great price point and excellent quality, for me (a seasoned corset wearer) very comfortable as well. I don't use it for waist training, only fashion; however the quality and durability of this brand fit the bill if that's what you're looking to do. Quick delivery too. I'm a full figured fluffy gal 5'4 size 20/22, purchased a 3x as I wanted the options of 2 - 4 reduction based on how I truss the garment, fully tightened I'm a solid size 18 in the waist.
This waist corset has garter attachment loops, they can be hard to find so I have added photos of the loops (fingers pointing them out 4 per side since the size changes as you truss/cinch the corset).
